This project is inspired by my Voodoo Bizango Pro, I wanted to create a realistic, high-quality 3D model that captures the rugged and well-used look of a real-world mountain bike.
This project is a faithful 3D recreation of the Voodoo Bizango Pro, inspired by my own bike. I wanted to capture not just its form but the personality it gains through real-world use—subtle wear, dirt buildup, and the marks of countless trail rides.
This project is a faithful 3D recreation of the Voodoo Bizango Pro, inspired by my own bike. I wanted to capture not just its form but the personality it gains through real-world use—subtle wear, dirt buildup, and the marks of countless trail rides.
Workflow & Tools:
Modeling: Maya – Built from scratch with careful attention to frame geometry, weld seams, and component details.
Texturing: Substance Painter – Focused on achieving a realistic, worn look with layered dirt, paint scratches, and material variety.
Rendering: Substance Stager – Set up lighting and composition to emphasize the bike’s rugged nature and real-world presence.
Process & Goals:
My main focus was authenticity—ensuring that every part of the bike, from the tread pattern on the tires to the metallic wear on the chainring, felt true to life. The textures are designed to tell a story, hinting at the miles ridden, the mud splashes from past trails, and the natural aging of components.
This project was a great exercise in balancing precision with artistic storytelling, and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
